By capturing the hydraulic force of swells in the ocean, OMI is able to displace massive amounts of water and use ballast weight to create a flow of highly pressurized water. This pressurized water can be run through reverse-osmosis filtration to generate drinking water, and it can be used to spin turbines to generate electricity as well. Since hydrogen production requires both water and electricity, OMI can also generate generate hydrogen in an economic and environmentally friendly way.

Testing and Validation



Thanks to the support of the Oregon Wave Energy Trust, Scripps Institution of Oceanography, and UC Berkely, our technology has been thoroughly tested and validated. Based on our research, there isn’t a wave energy conversion company operating today that can legitimately compete with our output levels. This is because our patented technology is simply the best method of capturing the hydraulic force of water. It’s simple, it’s strong, and it can be scaled to suit any type of water environment.

With just 3 WavePumps in a typical ocean environment, it has been independently confirmed that we can generate over 2 million gallons of drinking water per day, while also generating 1.6 megawatts of electricity.
